Cambridge and IELTS exams

For Cambridge exams, the speaking test is taken in pairs, just like the real thing: an examiner and a partner, each with their own voice, and questions suited to your age, just like on exam day. Thirteen real-life situations, each with its own character and a mission: order at a restaurant, go through a job interview, rent a car. Different every time. And you can also create your own scenario: describe the situation ahead of you in a few words, your job interview on Thursday or a doctor’s appointment, and your tutor plays the part, with a mission. Goudilingua is not affiliated with Cambridge or IELTS.

Where does my data go?

For your account, we only ask for your email address. Your progress and your vocabulary are on your phone, with an encrypted copy on our server in Europe, for backup and your other devices. Your voice and messages are only used for the conversation and your report: no ads, never sold.

Will it work on my phone?

Goudilingua opens in your browser, like a website: nothing to download. On Android with Chrome, you can add it to your home screen and open it in one tap, like an app. On iPhone and iPad, it’s planned but still being tested. The menus are available in English, French, German and Italian.

What about learning a language other than English?

For now, Goudilingua is for practising English. Spanish, German, Italian and French are planned, with the same voices and the same exercises. No date yet.
